Happy New Year!

Hello! :D

As you know a new year is coming, the year 2012! Some people say the world will finish but it just can´t happen cause I still have lots of things to do... :D

First of all I need to improve my marks from school and study harder to have good results in the exams! I´m still not sure about what I want to be in future but I know it´s important to have good marks because this way it will be easier for me to choose anything.

Then, related to Orienteering, my aims are probably a bit high but I´ll fight for them and then we´ll see if I can achieve them… :p

Well, there are lots of things I want to do but the main goal I have for this year is:

To take part in Eyoc, in France, and get good results there!

I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR full of good things and lots of Orienteering!  :D
Bye bye!

Third Day of 5 Orijúnior

One more time, I forgot to make start on my garmin --' So, good luck to see my options! :p
This was a relay with two people and I was the first starting. I was with the group and from 61 to 60, I stopped thinking and I went with the wrong group straight to number 59, that wasn´t mine!
After that I lost the group where I was to punch number 60.
I thought that I was the last one, after that and I continued until number 37 on my own. On that control a girl catched me and I get surprised because I didn´t know I had runners after me and I stopped thinking again because I just ran after that girl to number 33 and 31, so I´m not sure if it´s right what I did for those controls ( it can´t happen again!! )
Then I was so tired physically that I let her go and I continued the rest of the course on my own.
I also lost a lot of time to number 58.

I liked that training camp very much because I did really good courses in good maps which are very important for me to develop. It was quite tiring but I really liked it, and I think the trainings at night were very good for me.
I also learnt new things with two girls from Finland who were training with us. :)

Second Day 5º Orijúnior

I did a big mistake to my second control, I was looking for it very early but the others were ok! I was quite slow but right... :)

I forgot to start the timer of my garmir on the second course, that´s why it´s a bit strange... I did a lot of mistakes, but the biggest one was the last, I almost get out of the map. It happened because I thougt like " wow this is my last control, I just have to run a bit more and I finish" but I didn´t pay attention and I started runing in the wrong direction!

This was a train where we had to chose a option and our partner another one to see which was the best.
She was faster than me to the 4 and 6 controls.

This was another course we´ve done at night! I get completely lost to my first control and I get very scared... I didn´t know where I was! For my luck some friends appeared and helped me... They were really nice to me and I just didn´t give up because of them, I finished the course with those guys.

5º Orijúnior

Hello! :)
From now on I´ll post here, in my blog, all of my trainings and races in order to analyze them as I have been doing but without any forgetfulness!
So, this is what I have done in a training camp in Marinha Grande from 19 to 22 of December…
First Day :

This was our first train. I got a bit confused on the first control and I went staright to control 11, but after that I slowed down and the other controls were ok. I just lost some time for number 15 because I didn´t see the control the first time I passed near it.

This one was really cool! I had do punch 18 of those controls and I did it well but it was so confused that I was always counting the number of controls I had already punched while I was running. But even though I was counting when I finished I count them again but I did it in a wrong way, so I ran to do another control, number 41, and when I finished for the second time I realised I had done not 18 but 19 contols...  :p

This was at night! I started a bit scared but after the second control I took a beep breath and I did the rest of the train not thinking abou the darkness but having a lot of fun... It was aweasome when I started understanding everything that I was doing on that forest! :D

Dear Orienteering

Dear Orienteering,

I just want to tell you that I love you… I really do!
You make me wake up early like nobody does; You make me study harder because I know that after it I will have more time to be with you…
Sometimes you hurt me but I love to have some of your scratches on my body, it makes me feel stronger and better...
I don´t mind being all dirty and wet when I´m with you, I actually find it funny! I also like when you are difficult because I have to use my brain more carefully…
You make me have high goals and you also make me believe I can achieve them!!

When I don´t see you for a long time I start being depressed, bored and sad cause you are like a drug for me!I think about you every single day and I just couldn´t live without you…
Thank you to make my life happier and better!
LOVE,
Carolina
